Hydra has one beautiful large traditional caique called the ELENI which brings cargo to Hydra once a week unloading on the main harbourfront every Thursday morning. It then loads up and makes the return journey to Piraeus every Monday morning. The ELENI is the best way to transport your personal household effects and euipment. Everything from adult trees to Steinway pianos! Even a London cast iron red telephone box arrived on Hydra thanks to the ELENI.  (View of dockers unloading cargo from the ELENI)
